Mirabell gardens, Salzburg

Salzburg's Mirabell gardens are a grand Baroque sanctuary built in 1606 by Prince-Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau to hide his forbidden love for his common-law wife Salome Alt. In this place they raised 15 children away from the strict eyes of the Catholic Church.
